Eredivisie powerhouse PSV will have to make do without the services of Bulgarian full-back Stanislav Manolev for a couple more weeks as the highly rated defender has endured a recovery set-back.
Manolev picked up a groin injury during Bulgaria's Euro 2012 qualifier against England in September and has since been struggling to return to full match fitness.
The right-back was initially expected to be unavailable for only three weeks, but has now been out of action for almost two months.
A number of recent reports suggested that Manolev would have to undergo surgery in order to shake off the injury, but head coach Fred Rutten has revealed that the defender won't go under the knife.
"We spoke to our medical staff and they don’t think surgery is the right solution. They will continue intensive efforts to put an end to his injury," said Rutten on the official PSV website.
