Feyenoord Coach Mario Been Frustrated With Jon Dahl Tomasson's Injury Problems

Feyenoord coach Mario Been is frustrated with the ongoing injury worries of Jon Dahl Tomasson.
Experienced attacker Jon Dahl Tomasson returned to Feyenoord with a leg injury after the 2010 World Cup and the Dane has yet to make his first official appearance of the new season, much to the frustration of head coach Mario Been.

"I want to start by saying that I don't blame Jon Dahl for this situation. He's a seasoned professional and knows exactly how his body reacts. I'm sure that he's eager to return to match action as well," Been said to Voetbal International.

"However, I'm very disappointed that we haven't been able to use Jon Dahl so far. He could really add something to the team with his experience. We have an extremely young team and his presence would be very helpful for our youngsters.

"We've also been struggling to find the net this season and Tomasson is a great attacker. He proved that not only last year, but also earlier in his career. I have no idea when he'll be match fit again, but we're looking forward to his return," Been concluded.
