Twente Turn Down Juventus Offer For Douglas - Report

Twente appear reluctant to let go of the Brazilian centre-back...
According to a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, Serie A giants Juventus are keen to secure the services of highly rated Brazilian defender Douglas, currently playing for Dutch table toppers Twente.

The report claims that the Turin based outfit have already made a €6 million offer for the towering centre-back, but that Twente have turned down Juventus' initial approach.

The Tukkers are reluctant to let go of the 21-year-old, but could be tempted to cash in on Douglas if an offer in the region of €9m comes in for the highly rated defender.

Douglas joined Twente from Joinville in 2007-08 and has since developed into a key player for the Enschede outfit. The defender has made 56 league appearances for Twente so far.

Juventus face stiff competition in the race to secure Douglas' services though. Bundesliga champions Wolfsburg are also believed to be keeping tabs on the defender.
