According to a report in Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Eindhoven giants PSV are closely monitoring the situation of highly-rated midfielder Karim el Ahmadi. The Moroccan playmaker currently plays for Eredivisie side Feyenoord.
PSV are keen to add an extra midfielder to their squad due to the ongoing uncertainty about the future of Edison Mendez. The Ecuadorian midfielder is continually being linked with a move away from PSV and could be set for a return to South America.
El Ahmadi joined Feyenoord from Twente in the summer of 2008, but the 24-year-old failed to make an impact in his first season at the Rotterdam side. Therefore, Feyenoord could be tempted to part company with the midfielder if a good offer comes in.
The Rotterdam giants paid €5 million for El Ahmadi about a year ago, but have now reportedly set a €3 million asking price for the Moroccan international.
PSV coach Fred Rutten worked with El Ahmadi before when he was in charge at Twente.
