According to a report in Dutch football weekly Voetbal International, the Ghanaian Football Association (GFA) have approached Ajax starlet Jeffrey Sarpong to represent the African country in the future.
The 20-year-old was born and raised in the Netherlands, but both his father and his mother have Ghanaian nationality. Sarpong is expected to make a decision on the issue in the near future.
The GFA are reportedly trying to convince Sarpong to opt for the native country of his parents by making him aware of the big chance to represent Ghana at the 2010 World Cup.
Sarpong isn't the first Europe born youngster who's being approached by Ghana. The GFA have already successfully contacted Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng to represent the Black Stars, while Mario Balotelli chose to represent Italy.
