Eredivisie outfit Twente lost highly rated left back Edson Braafheid to German powerhouse Bayern Munich about a week ago, but the Enschede outfit have already found a replacement for the Dutch international.
The Tukkers have completed the transfer of hot prospect Nicky Kuiper from Arnhem side Vitesse for an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old will undergo a medical test later this week and will sign a five-year deal afterwards.
Kuiper is a product of the Vitesse youth academy and made his official debut for the Arnhem outfit this term. The Holland under-21 international has made fifteen league appearances for Vitesse.
The young defender was also being linked with Dutch champions AZ. However, the prospect of regular first team football at Steve McClaren’s side eventually made him sign for the Enschede outfit.
