Eredivisie outfit Utrecht have completed the transfer of young striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel from Vitesse. A report in De Gelderlander claims that Utrecht paid €5 million for the attacker.
The 20-year-old has signed a four-year deal at the Domstedelingen. Van Wolfswinkel will reportedly earn three times more at his new club than he did at Vitesse.
Van Wolfswinkel had also attracted the interest of bigger teams such as AZ and Twente, but the Holland B international opted to join Utrecht because of the promise of regular first team football.
The highly-rated forward is a product of the Vitesse youth academy and has made 33 league appearances for the Arnhem side, scoring eight goals in the process.
Van Wolfswinkel is Utrecht's third signing for next season. They have already secured the services of Mechelen defender Nana Asare and AGOVV attacker Dries Mertens.
