Japanese star midfielder Keisuke Honda admitted that his side were disappointed with their 1-1 draw with Jordan in the Asian Cup and was already turning his attention to their following encounter with Syria.
"We know what this team can do and we are upset with our failure to win but now we move our focus to the next game," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com Japan.
Japan skipper Makoto Hasebe acknowledged that although his side dominated the game in terms of possession, the slow tempo played into the Jordanians' hands.
"Our start to the game wasn't too bad and we certainly had the majority of the ball however we gave them too much time to regroup," he told this website.
The Blue Samurai return to action on Thursday when they take on Syria, who shocked Saudi Arabia earlier today.
