Bye-bye Barcelona! Bellerin won't leave Arsenal now for half a decade

The full-back is widely considered one of the best in the world and now the Gunners will reap the rewards of producing such a top talent for years to come

Hector Bellerin signing a new deal at Arsenal means Barcelona and Manchester City can kiss goodbye to any chance of signing the right-back for half a decade.

The Spanish right-back extended his contract with the Gunners on Monday after weeks of negotiations with Arsenal officials.

Goal understands Alex Iwobi is also close to signing an extension with the club while Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez continue protracted talks over new deals.

Bellerin has been courted by former club Barca, who have talked up re-signing their former academy star, but the 21-year-old revealed he’s “happy to be a Gunner for many years to come”.

But considering the length of his new contract and the fact he's settled in North London on a new bumper salary, don't expect Barca to be able pry him away for many years.
