Video: Goalkeeper Saulo Scores Then Picks Up Serious Injury Celebrating (Sport-Vitoria)

Everyone loves a scoring goalie. And everyone loves a blooper. Now both incidents occur at the same time.

There is so much football being played in Brazil (even during the current 'pre-season') that crazy incidents seem quite a regular occurrence.

Sport posted an incredible 2-1 victory over Vitoria-PE in the Campeonato Pernambucano with goalkeeper Saulo claiming the match-winner in second half injury time.

The big number one connected with an inswinging free-kick to win the match and then in his celebration tore ligaments in his right knee.

Saulo's team-mates mobbed the keeper whilst on the ground and initial reports suggested a 10 day-absence only for it to be significantly lengthened to six months.

The hero-turned-injury victim said afterwards: "Yesterday [Monday] I was so happy, today I'm so sad. But I'll recover."

Footage of Saulo scoring a goal then picking up a serious injury is below:

This is far from the first time we've see an injury celebration in recent days in Brazil.

Last week, the final of the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior witnessed a bizarre injury when Bahia striker Rafael looked to jump the advertising hoardings so that he could celebrate scoring a penalty with his fans. This time the forward got hurt when he landed on a previously unseen staircase.

A second bizarre injury from Brazil came when Flamengo-RJ beat Desportivo Brasil 3-0 at the Copa Sao Paulo de Futebol Junior.

Unable to move himself from the turf, medical assistance was sent on the pitch in order to help remove Desportivo's Gladstone on a stretcher. Or at least that was the intention. Instead, what we witnessed was arguably the worst piece of stretcher-bearing in history. Ever.

The brilliantly bad stretcher FAIL can be seen here.
