English Premier League - August 15th
Match Odds: Liverpool 2.53, Draw 3.32, Arsenal 2.94

This weekend sees the start of another Premier League season. In England, Sky Sports hasn’t let us down with their opening 'Super Sunday' game of Liverpool (under new manager Roy Hodgson) and Arsenal at Anfield.
Beware, as the opening day of the season is always a minefield for bettors. However, a couple of stats I like for this fixture are:

 - Liverpool have won only three of their last 18 Premier League games against Arsenal
 - The Gunners are unbeaten in their last three Premier League matches at Anfield

For interest, I will be having a small investment on a draw in this game and a correct score of 1-1.

Tip: Draw match

Odds on 1-1 draw:
6.58

English Premier League - August 14th
Match Odds: Chelsea 1.18, Draw 7.33, West Brom 17.12

On the opening weekend I am going to keep my bet very simple. I expect Chelsea to recover from their poor pre-season and give yo-yo experts West Brom a tough lesson in Premier League football. Having toyed with the idea of backing 4 and 5-0 I have decided to plump for backing Chelsea on the Asian Handicap at -2, at odds of 2.05. As an aside I will also be having a small personal stake on Man City and Tottenham to draw 2-2 at odds of 14.26.

Tip: Chelsea -2

Odds: 2.05

English Premier League - August 14th
Match Odds: Wigan Athletic 1.90, Draw 3.50, Blackpool 4.48

Blackpool have had all sorts of problems in the summer.Their upgraded stadium is not ready so they've had to play this game at the DW Stadium instead of Bloomfield Road. Ian Holloway's players have been unhappy at not receiving their promotion bonuses on time and they have failed to attract any top class signings due to their wage structure. It could be a long season for them in the top flight. Wigan manager Roberto Martinez will have earmarked this as a must win game and I think they will.

Tip: Wigan to beat Blackpool

Odds: 1.90 (9/10)

Romania Liga I - August 14th
Match Odds: Vaslui 1.50, Draw 3.58, Brasov 5.53

Vaslui have improved dramatically in recent years but they haven't started the season well, failing to win any of their first three games. Brasov are unbeaten, notching up seven points, including a draw against former champions Steaua Bucuresti.

There is pressure on Vaslui's manager Juan Roman Lopez Caro and the club issued a statement this week saying he would be staying in charge...for now. Morale in the camp isn't good.

Brasov are unbeaten in seven games going back to May and have a great record against Vaslui. I expect Vaslui to rest some players ahead of their clash with Lille in the Europa League in midweek. Having invested heavily in their squad progress in Europe is their priority for this season.

Taking all the above in consideration I feel that 9/2 (5.50) or even 5/1 (6.0) that is available consist a great value bet. Even double chance more than evens is value and there is available at 11/8. For the ones that they don’t feel so adventures a bet on Brasov + 1 at 1.80 or draw no bet at 10/3 is also recommended!

Tip: Double chance on Brasov or draw

Odds:
2.38 (11/8)

English Premier League - August 14th
Match Odds: Wolves 2.33, Draw 3.28, Stoke City 3.31

On a weekend I like to back the draw and I will be backing three this weekend, with Wolves v Stoke being the pick of them. I like to point punters in different directions, very few back the draw and it is a very effective tactic as you only need one winner in three to show a profit.

Wolves' home record against teams of Stoke's grading last season was W2 D2 L2. Stoke's away record against teams of Wolves grading' last season was W1 D4 L1. When teams of similar grade met last season the record was Home 11 Draw 14 Away 11.

Of the 12 games Wolves and Stoke participated in, eight had under 2.5 goals.

The draw is best priced at 3.35 on betting exchanges, with other firms offering 3.25.

I do not think the game will be high scoring so will rule out the 2-2 draw and above and will Dutch 0-0 and 1-1

0-0 is 8/1 (9.0) and 1-1 is 6/1 (7.00)

Tip: Wolves v Stoke (Dutch 0-0 & 1-1 @3.95)

The other draws I will be backing this weekend are Bolton v Fulham (3.40) and Blackburn v Everton (3.45)
