As Italy prepare for their Tuesday evening encounter against Serbia, hitman Giampaolo Pazzini recently expressed his desire to take to the field of his club side Sampdoria in the Azzurri colours.
“Will I start on Tuesday? Who knows,” Pazzini declared to GazzettadelloSport.
“Playing in my own stadium would be a lovely feeling. I am expecting a tough encounter as Serbia are a top side despite their recent defeat.
The hitman then analysed his recent substitute’s performance during Friday evening’s stalemate against Northern Ireland.
“I missed a decent chance,” ‘Pazzo’ continued.
“After having watched it back on the video replays I can see I mistimed the trajectory of the ball.
“The sooner the goals start coming, the better. Nevertheless, I would be more concerned if the side wasn’t creating chances.”
