Aly Cissokho Replaces Injured Benoit Tremoulinas In France Squad

Cissokho has replaced the injured Tremoulinas in the France squad for the match against Romania...
France coach Laurent Blanc has received some disappointing news on the injury front ahead of les Bleus' upcoming Euro 2012 qualifier against Romania on Saturday, October 9.

According to a report in L'Equipe, Blanc will have to make do without the services of full-back Benoit Tremoulinas after the Bordeaux defender has been ruled out of contention due to a thigh injury.

It's not yet exactly known how long the 24-year-old will be unavailable due to the knock. The highly rated defender will undergo further examination later this week to clarify the extent of the injury.

The France coach has opted to call-up Olympique Lyonnais defender Aly Cissokho as Tremoulinas' replacement. The former Porto star made his official France debut earlier this year in the friendly match against Norway.

France have collected three points from their opening two games in the Euro 2012 qualifying campaign and sit joint third in the table in Group D.
