VIDEO: 'The Michael Jordan of football' - Cristiano Ronaldo's story

Cristiano Ronaldo continued to shine in 2013-14 as his goals and success with Real Madrid saw him produce arguably the best season of his career to date.

Ronaldo scored 51 goals in all competitions for Madrid as they secured victory in the Copa del Rey and Champions League, with his 17 goals in Europe setting a new competition record.

The forward also netted 11 times in 10 matches for Portugal last year, including a stunning four-goal haul against Sweden to secure victory in the World Cup playoffs. The disappointing showing from his side in Brazil was the only real blemish in an otherwise excellent campaign.

His stunning year secured No.1 spot in this year's Goal 50 award, the third time he has won the trophy - drawing level with Barcelona rival Lionel Messi.
