Landon Donovan admitted that Brazil probably deserved to win the Confederations Cup after they produced an impressive second half display to erase a two-goal deficit and beat the United States.
Clint Dempsey and Donovan both scored to put their side ahead before the break, but Luis Fabiano struck twice and Lucio netted the winner to give Dunga's side the victory.
"Give them credit, they kept coming wave after wave and they probably deserved it in the end," Donovan said after the final whistle.
"It is disappointing especially as we played so well in the first half."
While many claimed that the United States' reputation had been improved by their performances in South Africa, Donovan was only concerned about winning the tournament.
"Hopefully [our reputation has improved], but we are at the point where we don’t want respect. We want to win," he added.
