World Cup 2010: Argentina's Martin Demichelis Keen To Avoid 'Doing A John Terry' Against Germany

Experienced stopper believes he has the character to overcome mistakes...
Argentina defender Martin Demichelis has declared that if he has a performance like England's John Terry against Germany he would not be able to go hom after the World Cup.

Terry was one of the Three Lions least impressive performers as the succumbed to a 4-1 mauling at the hands of their fiercest rivals in the round of 16 and Demichelis said that while he is confident he has a strong enough character to put mistakes such as his error against South Korea behind him, he would struggle to cope if he repeated Terry's effort.

"
I prefer that the criticism gets directed at me, I know that my personality can come out of these situations, it's not like forwards who have to be full of confidence," the Bayern Munich defender told a press conference.

"If I have the game that England's John Terry had against Germany I cannot go back my country."

Demichelis warned too that Germany are a strong side that can create plenty of chances if they are allowed to play their game.

"They're not only strong physically, but have also been growing in this World Cup and now generate many scoring chances if they gain control of the game," he warned.
