World Cup 2010: France's Florent Malouda Laments 'Shameful' Performance Against Mexico

The Chelsea player was frustrated with his side's performance.....
France were second best all evening long as they slumped to 2-0 defeat to Mexico at the Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwaneto in Group A on Thursday evening. Les Blues failed to impress as Mexico recorded a comprehensive victory over the former world champions.

Speaking to TF1 after the match, France midfielder Florent Malouda, who started against el Tri after being left out against Uruguay in France's opening game of the group, expressed his frustration and disappointment.

"We must save our honour; it is shameful to lose like that. It's hard to react so soon after the game. We cannot leave without winning a match.”

France need to win against South Africa in their third and final group fixture and hope that other results go their way in order to progress to the knock-out stage.
