World Cup 2010: Diego Forlan & Luis Suarez Happy With Uruguay's Win Over South Africa

Celeste close in on second phase...
Uruguay two-goal hero Diego Forlan has declared that his sides convincing 3-0 win over hosts South Africa has given them a confidence boost as they close in on a place in the knockout phase of the tournament for the first time since 1970.

The Atletico Madrid man fired the Celeste into a first half lead and added a second from a spot kick 10 minutes from time before Alvaro Pereira's late tap-in completed the comprehensive victory.

"All strikers like scoring goals, but the important thing is to win. We tried on the first day, but we face a very tough opponent, France, and we could not get it," he said afterwards as quoted by AS.

"The team is feeling better and the victory gives us great confidence."

Team-mate Luis Suarez was also pleased with his team's performance as they go top of Group A.

"The team gave a good display. Everyone has seen that this is a great moment," he declared.
