World Cup 2010: Marcelo Bielsa Wants More Goals From Chile

'El Loco' wants to see his side score more often…
Following his side’s 1-0 victory over Honduras in their World Cup Group H opener this afternoon, Chile coach Marcelo Bielsa has admitted that he was happy with the performance but wanted to see more goals from his team.

“I think we deserved to win, though we should have scored more goals,” he told the press. "We could have scored more goals because we were on top.”

Chile dominated the match for large periods but failed to improve on Jean Beausejour's first-half strike in the absence of star forward Humberto Suazo, who has been struggling with a muscle injury.

"He has not been able to train properly for quite a while and therefore he was not match fit," Bielsa said of his biggest goal threat, who sat on the bench today.

"We'll try to win the next game,” added the Argentine, looking ahead to Chile’s next game with Switzerland on Monday.

“The objective is to make it to the next round.”
