Liverpool defender Daniel Agger has admitted Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner is struggling to get to grip with the conditions for Denmark at World Cup 2010.
Bendtner, 22, came off early in the second half of the Danes' opening match against Holland after struggling to keep up with the pace of the game following seven weeks on the sidelines with a groin injury.
With the high altitude in Pretoria when they face Cameroon on Saturday in the second fixture of Group E, the target man faces an uphill challenge to reach peak condition.
Speaking to reporters, Agger stressed the difficulty Bendtner is facing to make an impact at the tournament.
"He hasn't played since April and when you play at this altitude it's a lot harder," Agger said.
"It must have been really, really hard for him [against Holland]."
Asked whether Bendtner would play against Cameroon, he added: "I'm not a doctor, but I really hope so."
