Spain striker Fernando Llorente has stated that his side are looking forward to getting their World Cup campaign underway when the take on Switzerland in Durban on Wednesday night.

However the Athletic Bilbao front man has insisted that the Swiss will provide a stern test for Spain and noted that the tournament so far has illustrated that there is a lot of quality on show and Spain will have to be on top of their game to succeed.

"It's true, we are all looking forward to the game but at the same time we are calm and training well to prepare for the first game," Llorente told a press conference before noting that the level of competition is high in South Africa.

"From what I've seen so far there has been an even balance. It's what I expected, that all teams are pushing forward trying to win games.

"Switzerland are a difficult opponent and we will have to give it 100 per cent."
