World Cup 2010: Uruguay Goalkeeper Fernando Muslera Living A World Cup Dream

The custodian is on cloud nine…
After getting his first taste of World Cup action on Friday evening as Uruguay played out a less than enthralling stalemate against France, Celeste ‘keeper Fernando Muslera appears to be enjoying himself in South Africa.

“I feel like I’m living a dream,” he declared to Sportal.

“Playing as the first choice for my country against the French in front over 60,000 spectators was truly fantastic.

“The save I made early on helped me get over the initial nerves and I was ready from that moment to play a protagonist's role in the match.

“I don’t consider this to be a point of arrival in my career but a starting point – I want to go far."

The Lazio custodian then spared some words for his club side after overcoming some difficult moments in the last two seasons.

“I want to thank everyone who has helped me in these past seasons in Rome. They are well aware at what I’m referring to, and I owe them a great deal for this wonderful experience.”
