World Cup 2010: Diego Maradona's Girls Beg Him To Dress Smartly In the Argentina Dugout

The coach's two daughters will ask him to leave the tracksuit at home and arrive to games in a suit; the beard can stay though.
Diego Maradona once again came under the spotlight on Wednesday morning. This time, however, it had nothing to do with getting the best out of Lionel Messi, or explaining the omissions of Javier Zanetti and Esteban Cambiasso. And the source was a little closer to home.

It was Maradona's daughter Dalma, who with the help of her sister Giannina are trying to make the coach look rather more elegant in the World Cup dugouts.

"I'm waiting for Giannina to arrive because she knows more about fashion than I do," Dalma stated on landing in South Africa to follow her father's team's exploits.

"But we will ask him to put on a suit."

Maradona has resolutely refused up until now to dress formally on the bench, preferring to wear the team tracksuit.

Dalma also states that her father's image has been improving recently. "He has already lost 15 kilos, and told us that now in training he can keep up running with the players."

The presence of the beard was also explained by Dalma, whose sister Giannina is married to Sergio Aguero.

"He hasn't shaved since he had the accident with the dog. It is covering up a scar."
