Lazio stopper would love to work for Mourinho...
Lazio defender Aleksandar Kolarov has admitted that he is flattered to be linked to a possible summer switch to Real Madrid but insisted that he is entirely focused on helping Serbia at the World Cup finals.

The 24-year-old full back is understood to be a target of new Merengues coach Jose Mourinho and he has declared that he is keen to work with the Portuguese, who Kolarov believes to be the best in world football.

"I like my that my name appears [linked with Madrid] but out of respect for my national team and my country, these days I must stay focused on the World Cup. I'm flattered that a team like Real Madrid have thought of me because it is one of the strongest teams in the world. It also indicates that I am doing things right and that if I have a good tournament South Africa there will be even more intensive talk of this possibility," he told AS.

"I know Mourinho from Italy, we faced each other on several occasions. We know each other well. This is great news that he has an interest in me and I would love him to be my coach someday. I do not know it it will be this summer, the next or when. I'd surely work for him.

"He has won everything this season and you cannot ask more of someone who has won three titles in a single campaign. Obviously now there is no better coach than him around the world. The results dictate."

Kolarov also declared that it would be a dream to play for los Merengues, not only for him but for any player.

"For all players in the world there is a great hope of joining a club like Madrid. This club is the dream of every player. I also include myself in that list because I know from history and the following that this club has."
