World Cup 2010: Brazil Goalkeeper Julio Cesar Misses Training With Back Injury

Julio Cesar suffered a back injury but appears set to return soon...
As reported by A Bola, Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar missed training today in Johannesburg after suffering a back injury that saw him retire in the first half of Brazil's last international friendly match against Zimbabwe.

The Brazilian keeper injured his back in the 26th minute of the match after suffering a hard hit in the back during a scrum for the ball during which he collided with Zimbabwean player Benjani.

As yet, there is no official information about his condition, but the injury does not appear to be serious and it is anticipated that the Inter shot-stopper will be back in training on Saturday. According to reports, he will do physical therapy to address the contusion and should not be bothered by the injury for an extended period of time.

In the case that he is not ready, Tottenham goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes will make the start in Monday's friendly match against Tanzania.
