Spain stars Cesc Fabregas and Raul Albiol declared themselves happy with the progress they are making in preparation for the World Cup finals following their 1-0 win over South Korea in Austria.
A lone Jesus Navas strike secured the win for the Spaniards, who have one remaining warm-up game ahead of the finals.
"We have won and that is important. It was a difficult game, we come from a long season and a preparation with much training, morning and evening and that makes it harder." Fabregas declared afterwards, as quoted by AS, before adding that it felt like pre-season after returning from injury.
"I felt better in the first half than in the second, for me it was like a pre-season, but the sensations are good."
Real Madrid centre half Raul Albiol admitted that the Spanish side struggled at times in their two Austria-based friendlies but noted that they are making similar progress to two years ago when they won the European championships.
"In the two games we struggled a bit, but that is normal, also the grass was high and dry and has it took more to move the ball, besides they [South Korea] are very consistent," he noted.
"We're coming on, little by little. I remember that before the Euros took it's toll too, it's normal after such a long season and the training, we must regain the rhythm. This training camp to prepare physically, to return the unity and for all to participate on the pitch."
