World Cup 2010: Kevin Kuranyi Could Make Germany Comeback

There appeared to be little doubt that Kevin Kuranyi's Germany career had come to an end after national team coach Joachim Loew revealed that he'd never recall the Schalke striker again, but the in-form attacker could now make a comeback after all.

"I know that Kevin and Joachim Loew spoke with each other last week after, I believe, meeting each other by chance," Schalke gaffer Felix Magath was quoted as saying by DSF.

"As a trainer, one must constantly reconsider your decisions and sometimes change them. You have to do what is best for your team and Kevin is currently the best forward in Germany."

Kuranyi walked out at half-time of Germany's World Cup qualifying win over Russia in October 2008 after having been left out of the matchday squad and hasn't been recalled ever since.

However, the Schalke forward has been in scintillating form this season and German fans recently voiced their opinion that Kuranyi should get another chance.
