Andy Murray picks his Arsenal dream team

The 29-year-old admits his love for the Gunners has stemmed from their Invincible era but opted not to name a goalkeeper in his top five players

Andy Murray has named Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp in his Arsenal five-a-side dream team.

The two-time Grand Slam winner has supported Arsenal since his tennis career prevented him from closely following his childhood team Hibernian.

And when asked to name his Arsenal dream team, Murray opted to go without a goalkeeper and instead chose five outfield players - Tony Adams, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, Bergkamp and Henry.

“I supported Hibs when I was a kid growing up. My grandfather played for them,” Murray told Pires in an interview for Standard Life’s ‘Mastering Your Dreams’ series.

“Then, when I started travelling a lot, I couldn't watch Scottish football on the TV any more.

“I started supporting Arsenal because of the way your [Pires’] team played.”
