Kane named Player of the Month as Ranieri scoops manager award

The striker scored five league goals in March to help maintain Spurs' title push while the Italian led his side to 10 points out of a possible 12 and seven points clear at the top
Tottenham striker Harry Kane has been named Premier League Player of the Month for March with Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri named Manager of the Month.

Kane scored five times during March, netting against Arsenal in the 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane as well as grabbing doubles against Aston Villa and Bournemouth.

The England international’s goals means he is also the Premier League’s top scorer with 22, three ahead of Jamie Vardy, while his form has also helped Spurs stay in the hunt for the title.

Ranieri, meanwhile, has kept Leicester at the top of the table where they remain seven points clear of second-placed Spurs with just six games left to play.

The Foxes took 10 points from a possible 12 in March with their 2-2 draw against West Brom at the start of the month followed by 1-0 wins over Watford, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.

This is the second time this season Ranieri has been named Manager of the Month, having picked up the award back in November.
