Jurgen Klopp will not be at Anfield for Liverpool’s clash with Sunderland on Saturday after suffering from suspected appendicitis.
First-team coaches Zeljko Buvac, Peter Krawietz, Pepijn Lijnders and John Achterberg will take charge of the team in the German’s absence.
Klopp attended his pre-match press conference on Friday but was taken ill and will not be in the dugout for the Premier League clash at Anfield.
It has not yet been confirmed how long Klopp will be absent for.
A win on Saturday will move Liverpool up to seventh in the table, while Sunderland are searching for their first victory in three Premier League games.
