Jan Mucha – The 27-year-old will play for Everton after the World Cup due to his pre-contract deal that he signed in January 2010. He got his exposure at Polish club Legia Warszawa as first-choice goalkeeper after former Legia first-choice shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski moved to Arsenal in 2007.
Mucha spent his youth career at his local club TJ Slovan Bela nad Cirochou, followed by MSK Snina, and Inter Bratislava (1997-2000). He was absorbed into the Inter Bratislava senior team in 2000 but had to spend two barren seasons there before he started winning with Slovak outfit MSK Zilina and later with Legia Warsaw. Before Legia, he was sent on a half-year loan with 1. HFC Humenne in 2005.

It was Mucha’s commanding display at Legia that got the attention of coach Vladimir Weiss, since the goalkeeper made his international debut against Hungary in a friendly match on 6 February 2008, before which he was struggling to even make it on the bench.
