De Bruyne & Griezmann named in second batch of Ballon d'Or nominees

The duo are joined by three others as the second set of five potential winners were released, with the first batch having been released earlier on Monday

Kevin De Bruyne and Antoine Griezmann are amongst the latest big names to be announced as candidates for the Ballon d'Or award.

The Man City and Atleti stars are joined by Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain and Diego Godin as part of the second set of nominees to be named.

Revealed: First five Ballon d'Or nominees

The first batch of potential winners was announced earlier in the day, with Real Madrid duo Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale nominated alongside Sergio Aguero, Gianluigi Buffon and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The rest of the list will be announced across Monday, with the third set of players being released at 2pm and the rest following at 4pm, 6:15pm and 6:30pm (all times CET).
