The Bayern winger has set his sights on European glory having missed out on the crown several times in the past

Bayern Munich attacker Arjen Robben is desperate for Champions League glory after missing out in the final of two of the last three seasons.

The Dutchman missed an extra-time penalty in the showpiece at the Allianz Arena last term as Chelsea eventually prevailed and is eager to go one step further this time out.

"I’ll give everything in my power to win the Champions League," he told the club's official website.

"I've contested two Champions League finals with Bayern, and two semi-finals with Chelsea. But at the end of the day, you have to go on and win the cup at some point.

"We’re in the quarter-finals again, so we’re in good shape. But when you look at the clubs who are still in it, you know it’s going to be very, very hard again this season."

The Dutchman then went on to discuss the upcoming quarter-final tie against Juventus, and expects two close encounters.

"If you’re aiming for the final, you have to beat the likes of Juventus. It could have been better, but it could have been worse, too," he continued.

"Juventus are brilliantly organised in defence and also boast immense quality up front. It’ll be tough, and we’ll probably have to be patient. We’ll have to try and prise them apart with our creativity.

"We can expect two great games."

The first leg of the tie will be at the Allianz Arena on April 2.
