Marseille assistant coach Guy Stephan has admitted that Arsenal are favourites to finish at the top of their Champions League group.
Besides Marseille and Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund and Olympiakos are also in contention in Group F for a place in the knockout stages.
Stephan said he believes Arsenal, who are led by French coach Arsene Wenger, are highly favoured to top the group and added he does not believe the Gunners are any weaker following the sales of important players.
"The only good news about facing Arsenal is that we avoided Manchester City, who were in top 3, as two teams from the same country could not be in the same group," Stephan said.
"We know their coach and their players well. Even if they have changed in the last weeks with the departures of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas, they are a team with a very high level.
"On paper, Arsenal are favourites. That said, the fight for the second place will be very strong. We can aim for the first place, of course, but Arsenal are a regular in these events, they are still one of Europe's greatest."
The Marseille assistant coach noted he thinks his side got the unlucky pick in the form of Borussia Dortmund, saying: "They were the worst possible draw from Pot 4. They have won the event in the past and are defending champions in Germany. They have a very solid team."
