Bayern Munich Coach Louis Van Gaal Wary Of Basel Threat

Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal has made it clear that Basel won't be pushovers.
Reigning German champions Bayern Munich have been struggling to find their best form this season and the Bavarians are eager to return to winning ways in their Champions League game against Basel. However, head coach Louis van Gaal has made it clear that the Swiss side won't be pushovers.

"Basel are a good team, they play 4-4-2 and have two good strikers who are dangerous. I hope we can improve tomorrow, get a positive result and produce the same in our next Bundesliga game," said Van Gaal to uefa.com.

"I think we have played some good football in the five games in the Bundesliga so far. However, we are not scoring goals and this is our problem. This is something we have to solve and we have an opportunity to do so tomorrow. We are creating chances, we just need to start scoring goals.

"It is always difficult when a team has a lot of international players at the World Cup and they cannot take part in a good pre-season preparation. This year was a very extreme case for us. We made our preparations by playing in the Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions League and that is obviously a bad thing."
