Panathinaikos Star Sidney Govou To Miss Copenhagen Champions League Clash

Panathinaikos will have to make do without the services of Sidney Govou when they take on Copenhagen on Wednesday
Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos have received some disturbing news from the treatment table in the build-up to the Champions League clash against reigning Danish champions Copenhagen on Wednesday evening.

Head coach Nikos Nioplias will have to make do without the services of French international Sidney Govou when Pana take on their Danish opponents as the versatile attacker has picked up a thigh injury.

A report on uefa.com reads that the 31-year-old sustained the injury during Sunday's training session. Govou is expected to be unavailable for about two weeks due to the knock.

Govou scored the opener in his side's 5-1 Champions League loss against Barcelona about two weeks ago.

The highly rated attacker could also miss France's upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Romania and Luxembourg due to the thigh injury.
