Inter Ace Diego Milito Revels In Progress To Last Four Of Champions League

Argentine striker Diego Milito was overjoyed last night after Inter booked their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time in seven years.

A Wesley Sneijder goal just six minutes into the second leg of their quarter-final tie with CSKA Moscow wrapped up a 2-0 aggregate win to send the Nerazzurri through to the last four.

“We are very happy,” Milito, who grabbed the winner in the first leg, beamed on the Inter Channel after the match.

“We were lucky enough to get an early goal, despite the synthetic pitch which was difficult to cope with.

“There won’t be any more breaks now. We’ll be back in action right away to face a very difficult match against Fiorentina.”

“But we’ll enjoy this moment and the passage to the semi-finals.”

Inter, who are one point clear at the top of Serie A, travel to the Stadio Franchi on Saturday.
