Inter Will Not Take CSKA Moscow Lightly - Jose Mourinho

'The Special One' does not believe the Nerazzurri are guaranteed a place in the semi-finals...
Inter coach Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Mario Balotelli will once again be excluded from the squad ahead of the Champions League match against CSKA Moscow.

"I won't talk about players who are not called up," he said at the pre-match press conference, according to FCinternews.it.

Meanwhile, he turned his attention to the match at hand on Wednesday.

"[Against Manchester United] CSKA played very well, I was impressed by their physical condition. There is little distance between the players and all the defenders and defensive midfielders are tall and physically strong," he explained.

"Then they have three men that are quick on the counter attack, who are good at scoring, but otherwise return quickly to occupy their positions. They play well away from home for this very reason, it's a type of football that is difficult to counteract."

Despite many classifying Inter as favourites in this tie, Mourinho shrugged off that tag, claiming CSKA are a worthy opponent.

"You do not get to the quarter-finals by luck or chance, they arrived because they have a project in place," suggested the former Blues boss.

"They are more or less the same team I faced with Chelsea, but with a few new elements. I don't consider them favourites either, because we want to win. They are a team of quality that deserve our respect."

The Portuguese tactician won the Premier League with Chelsea after a 50-year drought and the journalists asked if he could manage a similar feat with Inter in Europe.

"With Chelsea I won the Premier League after fifty years. Inter are missing the Champions League for almost the same amount of time. But to win we are still missing the quarters, semis, and the final."

Finally, he was asked about the chances of facing Barcelona or Arsenal in the semi-finals.

"First of all we must get there," he continued.

"You seem more excited about it [than I am]. In any case, I see a 25 per cent chance for us to face the other, the same as CSKA, Barcelona, and Arsenal."
