CSKA Moscow Playmaker Keisuke Honda Very Pleased With Goal Against Sevilla

The Japanese international was happy with his winner in Seville...
CSKA Moscow put in an outstanding performance against Spanish side Sevilla on Tuesday and eventually recorded a 2-1 away win to qualify for the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

Japanese playmaker Keisuke Honda put in a man of the match performance for the Russians by providing the assist for the opener and scoring the winner after the interval.

"I didn't expect to score because I thought the keeper would get it, but the ball was a bit wet and maybe that surprised him. Perhaps I got a bit lucky, but a goal is a goal."

Honda played the first half of the season at Eredivisie outfit VVV and his strong performances in Holland resulted in a transfer to CSKA. Many questioned his decision to move to Russia, but the midfielder is convinced he made the right decision.

"I took a risk in the transfer to CSKA because there is always a risk in any move. However, I think I made the right one."
