Butt -6.0:
Aside from pick the ball out of the net, Butt did not have any saves to make.

Lell -6.0: A battling display from the right back, who looked far more comfortable on the right hand side. Was worked by Iniesta in the second period.

Lucio -8.0: Immense tonight. Made two world class goal-saving challenges on Eto'o, and read the play immaculately.

Demichelis -7.0: Was impressive alongside Lucio, and also made one key tackle to stop Eto'o. What might have been if the two South Americans had played together at Camp Nou?

Lahm -6.5: Disciplined this evening, and did not disgrace himself against Messi. Grew in confidence, and forced a smart save out of Valdes late on.

Sosa -6.5:
Filled in well for Schweinsteiger, and created a gilt-edged chance for Toni early on. Did not make too much of an impact in the second half.

Van Bommel -6.5: Had a point to prove tonight, and more than matched the Barcelona midfielders. One fine pass through to Toni just before half time.

Ottl -6.0: Lots of quantity in midfield, Ottl did not have too much quality go with it.

Borowski -6.0:
No time to really shine

Valdes -6.0:
Bamboozled by Ribery for the goal, Valdes was alert in making a couple of other stops.

Dani Alves -6.5: Troubled by Ribery defensively on occasions, but excellent going forward. Shot just over in the first half, and whipped in a number of crosses.

Puyol -6.5: Started shakily and was outfoxed by Ribery, but recovered to have a generally sound game.

Pique -4.5: All over the place at the back. Played Ribery onside for the goal, positionally suspect, and should have conceded a penalty for dragging down Toni.

A powerful display in the middle-of-the-park, Keita improved as the game wore on, and was rewarded with an excellent left-footed finish.

Messi -7.0: A nearly game for Messi, where he almost pulled off some brilliant moves. One genius through pass to Eto'o in the first half, he was lively all game.

Eto'o -6.5: Like some of his team-mates, was not at full throttle, but still could have scored at least twice. Was involved in the move for Keita's goal.

Iniesta -7.0: Quiet in the first half, Iniesta burst into life after the break with a fantastic solo run, and a fine piece of play to help set-up Keita.
