Player Ratings: Sporting CP 0-5 Bayern Munich takes a look at tonight's performers at Estadio Jose Alvade as Bayern trounced the home side five goals to nil...
Sporting CP

Tiago 5: .Was caught out of position only once at the end of the game, but ultimately, it was Bayern's quality that overcame the stopper.

Marco Caneira 6.5: Made Schweinsteiger's contribution to the game virtually nil. Did a lot of running but couldn't prevent the onslaught.

Polga 5.5: Did well at the start of the game, mopping up a lot of loose balls, but allowed Ribery to run through himself and Tonel for the first goal.

Tonel 5: The scoreline reflects Tonel's contribution. The Portuguese full-back just could not handle the flurry of attacks. Picked up a yellow card for his frustrations.

Abel 5: Offered Sporting options down the right hand side when he could, but for the most part, couldn't prevent Bayern's attacks.

Joao Moutinho 7: Never gave up. Sporting's talisman was never afraid to shoot and looked for a long time like their only real threat.

Rochemback 6: Created some good chances but failed to capitalise. Another one of Sporting's few hungry players on the night. A Sloppy ending to his night saw him bring down Lahm in the area to award Bayern a penalty.

Izmailov 4: Largely anonymous, was subbed off for his lack of contribution.

Derlei 4: The wayward passing of the midfielder was the cause of Bayern's first goal. Not a great contributor.

Romagnoli 7: Great movement from the striker.Looked to offer Sporting options all over the Bayern half, but no one gambled on his running. Romagnoli ended up creating chances for others and he took to the wings.

Liedson 6.5: Was always looming. Took a few chances, but was not rewarded for his efforts.

Vukcevic 5.
Yannick Djalo 5.
Pereirinha 4.5: Another Sporting player who picked up a card for his lashing out.

Bayern Munich

Rensing 6: Nothing to say here really, the youngster has virtually nothing to do.

Lahm 7: Always offering options down the left. More great play from the tiny wing-back.

Demichelis 6.5: Looked confident on the ball, but like the others at the back, was largely untroubled.

Lucio 5.5: After a shaky start and some silly adaptive defending, the Brazilian grew into his shoes.

Oddo 6.5: Always great in position, made use of his channel and gave the Germans more options.Good shift from the full back.

Ze Roberto 7: Did not allow Sporting to play direct. The veteran was always pressuring and mopping up.

Van Bommel 6.5: A great performance from the spontaneous midfielder.Played much like Ze Roberto and played an excellent passing game. Only complaint was an undeserved yellow card.

Ribery 8: You expect it from the Frenchman don't you? Absolutely wonderful skill and pace from the winger.Created a lot of Bayern's chances and picked up 2 goals for himself.

Schweinsteiger 5: Totally invisible. His name was mentioned maybe twice during the course of the game. The German international was subbed off for his inactivity.

Toni 6.5: After a poor start to the game, the big Italian came into his own during the second half. A disheartened Sporting saw the lanky forward put two goals past Tiago.

Klose 7: Another sniffer at the front. Klose sneaked around for most of the game, calculating his options. The German bagged a goal for his efforts.

Van Buyten 6.
Hamit Altintop 6.
Lell 6.
