After a horrible spell at Argentine giants Independiente, Freddy Grisales decided to return to his homeland with modest First Division club Envigado.
The former Colon de Santa Fe, San Lorenzo, Atletico Nacional, and Barcelona midfielder, was loaned out to Envigado from Independiente, a club who hardly gave him an opportunity to impress last year.
Grisales (33), was out injured for much of last season, and his form didn't allow him to be taken into consideration when his condition improved.
However, much is expected of him on his return to Colombian football. He is a great personality, and although his career has been marred by controversy, he continues to be a class act.
Santiago Hernandez, a leading director of the Colombian club, also confirmed the signing of Rodrigo Saraz, formerly of Boyaca Chico and Cienciano de Cusco.
