Highly-rated Colo Colo striker Lucas Barrios will not move to French outfit Nancy, because both parties didn't come to an agreement over the sale of the player.
The president of Colo Colo, Gabriel Ruiz-Tagle, told the press that they
"failed to come to an agreement, it wasn't a satisfactory offer (from Nancy), and Lucas Barrios will remain at Colo Colo for now."
"They made us an offer that just wasn't good enough, and that is the reason why we rejected it," explained the president, who affirmed that Barrios will return to training with the Colo Colo squad on Tuesday.
Ruiz-Tagle said "we discussed various aspects of the negotiation, and we came to the conclusion that the offer Nancy made us wasn't sufficient, and we put an end to the negotiation."
Finally, he stated that in the next few hours "other offers will arrive, including another one from Nancy. We are always going to want the best for him (Barrios) and Lucas thinks the same way about us."
According to reports several top Italian and Spanish clubs are after the prized signature of the top scorer in the Chilean First Division.
