Italy U-21 Coach Pierluigi Casiraghi has expressed his delight with the Azzurrini’s 2-0 victory over Hungary this evening.

Going into the match two points behind their opponents in UEFA U-21 Championships Qualifying Group 3, Casiraghi admitted his side were taking it one game at a time and that he wasn’t overly concerned with Italy’s current position in the group.
“We are not looking at the standings right now. We had to win against Hungary tonight and we have to do well in our next two fixtures. The boys have put in an excellent performance tonight.”
Italy dominated the match from start to finish and won with goals from Stefano Okaka and Luca Marrone.
Casiraghi concluded by revealing he was delighted with his side at both ends of the pitch.
“We created a lot of chances and we conceded very little.”
Italy now sit in second place in Group 3, one point ahead of Hungary who have a game in hand.
