Highly-rated youngster Patrick Gerritsen is unhappy with his current situation at the Eredivisie outfit and is eager to leave the club in January.
The 21-year-old made his official Twente debut in 2005 and was considered to be one of Holland's most promising attackers following his impressive start at the club.
However, the young attacker sustained a complicated leg injury in 2006 and has been struggling to get match fit ever since.
Gerritsen only recently returned to full match fitness, but manager Steve McClaren prefers to use Eljero Elia, Marko Arnautovic, Stijn Huysegems and Romano Denneboom over the 21-year-old and Gerritsen is mainly warming the bench.
Therefore, the promising winger is eager to leave the club and Eerstedivisie outfit Go Ahead Eagles already expressed their desire to sign Gerritsen on loan.
Nevertheless, he prefers to move abroad and is currently on trial at Championship side Preston North End.
