On Wednesday there were a host of friendly internationals with the world's best and top-ranked teams all in action.
European and world champions Spain, South American powerhouses Brazil and Argentina, former world champions Germany and Italy as well as England and France took to the pitch.
There was disappointment for some (like Brazil) and joy for others (like Argentina). Of course, these are friendly games and most coaches use these occasions to groom new and young players and also to construct their team, rather than play in a competitive spirit. However, these matches are also important in gauging the strength of a team.
So who do you think are the strongest and best international team in the world at the moment? One would suggest Spain right away perhaps but la Furia Roja haven't looked exactly formidable of late and have lost to Argentina and Portugal since the summer.
Perhaps Argentina are the best on the planet, as, with Lionel Messi playing brilliantly for the national team, the former world champions are looking very good indeed. Or maybe Japan have a stake in the prize after their recent Asian Cup triumph.
