Atletico Madrid forward Eduardo Salvio has expressed his happiness at making his debut for the club in the 1-1 Europa League draw against Galatasaray at the Vicente Calderon stadium.
Salvio was a late substitute for goal hero Jose Antonio Reyes and afterwards acknowledged that the result could have been better after Kader Keita had cancelled out Reyes stunning free-kick but insisted that Los Colchoneros can still turn the tie around in the second leg despite the away goal.
"I am very happy to have debuted, but it would have been nicer if we had won. I felt very good physically and now I have to earn minutes to have a place in the starting lineup. I will never forget this night," he told AS after the game before adding that the tie is still very much alive.
"Anything can happen over there. We hope to turn the tie around in Turkey."
