Ajax Cape Town have big celebration planned if they win the Premier Soccer League

Ajax Cape Town are planning a football festival in Cape Town on May 21, when a win over Maritzburg United will hand them the Premiership title.

Ajax PRO ‘Shooz’ Mekuto said the club has made 40 000 seats available and tickets for the match, which will be sold around South Africa from today.

“It’s going to be an exciting day for all Capetonians and we will be operating the Fan Walk and the Park and Ride that made the 2010 World Cup such a success to ensure that all the people of Cape Town have easy access to and from the stadium,” Shooz said.

The Urban Warriors have assured their fans that the injury to midfielder Khama Billiat against Kaizer Chiefs was not serious and that he will be fit to play during their final League match.

Billiat limped off the pitch with a suspected groin injury at the Peter Mokaba Stadium last Saturday. Ajax managing director George Comitis confirms that that the player is still receiving treatment but said that he should be fit in time.

“It’s just a minor groin injury and he is still receiving treatment. The medical team is working hard to get him ready,” Comitis said.

Ajax will, however, miss striker ‘Terror’ Fanteni when they face The People’s Choice.
