Former South Africa midfielder Quinton Fortune open to PSL return

Former Bafana Bafana midfielder Quinton Fortune, who has spent many years plying his trade in Europe, reveals that he is open to offers from South African clubs.
Fortune is without a team after parting ways with Championship League team Doncaster Rovers. The midfielder is keen to play next season and says he would not mind playing in the PSL.

Fortune is training with Manchester United and says that he is a 100 per cent fit and ready to resume his football career.

"I am a South African and would not mind returning home to play in South Africa as long as the offer is right. Manchester is like my home and I am currently training with United to keep myself fit," he said, according to Kickoff.com.

The 33 year old midfielder also dispelled fears about reports suggesting a long term injury is suspected to have affected his performance over the past few years.

"I have not had a problem with an injury in the past three years. I am 33 years old this year, but I still feel young and I am ready to return to action any time."

Fortune also dismissed media reports earlier this year linking him to Ajax Cape Town.

"I only read about that in the newspapers. I have never been approached by any local team," he added.
