Kaizer Chiefs Midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala Dedicates Awards To His Mother

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Siphiwe Tshabalala has dedicated his 2010 SAFA Footballer of the Year Award and Telkom Knockout Cup winners medal to his sick mother in hospital.
Tshabalala starts the festive season on a high note after scoring the third goal and helping Amakhosi win the Telkom Knockout Cup for a second time in succession after beating Orlando Pirates 3-0 in the Soweto Derby played at the FNB Stadium yesterday.

'Shabba's' moment of glory at the FNB Stadium came after he won the much coveted Safa Footballer of the Year Award during the 2010 Safa Awards held in Sandton on Friday night.

Speaking to KickOff.com after the Cup Final, the Bafana Bafana star, says the only thing he wishes for is that his mother recovers soon and leaves hospital.

"I am very happy with the way things have gone in my football career and would like to dedicate the SAFA Footballer of the Year Award trophy and the Telkom Cup winners medal to my mom who is sick and has been in hospital for the past 6 days and hopefully will get better soon."
